Day Labor Work is a service owned and operated by Element Info Tech LLC. This page is the full description of our text messaging program. It is public and requires no account and no sign in.
Day Labor Work sends text messages to the mobile number on your account for three purposes, and nothing else:
Day Labor Work does not send marketing or promotional text messages. We will not text you advertisements, offers, or newsletters, and we will never text you on behalf of another company.
You opt in when you create a Day Labor Work account. On the first step of the signup form at daylaborwork.com/signup you enter your mobile phone number, and directly beneath that field the form displays this disclosure:
By providing your number you agree to receive texts from Day Labor Work: verification codes, job reminders and account alerts. Frequency varies, msg and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.
Below that disclosure you must check a consent box before the form will submit. That box reads "I agree to the Terms of Service, Privacy Policy and SMS Terms, and the Worker Agreement", or Employer Agreement if you are signing up to hire, and each of those documents is linked from the box itself. Submitting the form sends you a one-time verification code, which confirms the number is yours and completes your enrollment.
The same disclosure and the same consent box appear on the signup screen in the Day Labor Work iOS and Android apps.
Some messages ask you to reply. A job confirmation reminder asks you to reply to confirm that you will be at the job, and your reply is what tells the employer you are coming. Replying is optional, and a reply you send is a text message your carrier may charge you for at its normal rate.
Reply STOP to any message we send. You will receive one final confirmation message and no further text messages will be sent to your number. You can also turn off job and account text messages at any time under SMS Messages in your account settings, which leaves your account and every other feature working normally.

Message frequency varies. Msg and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan. Day Labor Work does not charge for text messages, but your carrier may. Text messaging is available on most major US carriers, carrier support is not guaranteed for all carriers, and carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Day Labor Work uses two messaging providers. Twilio delivers platform messages, which is job confirmation reminders, account notifications, and two factor authentication codes sent at sign in. Google Firebase delivers the phone verification codes used to prove a new number belongs to you during signup and password reset.
Your phone number is shared with those providers solely to deliver the message and is not used for any other purpose. If we change providers, this page is updated to name the new ones.
We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing with subcontractors in support services, such as our messaging providers, is permitted solely to deliver the messages you requested. Text messaging originator opt in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.
