Picking Up Work Around a Night Shift or a Rotating Schedule
If your days off land on a Tuesday, most second jobs are closed to you. Day work is the one that does not care which day it is.

The problem with a Tuesday off
Every part time job posted wants evenings and weekends, which is exactly when you are at work. Meanwhile your Tuesday and Wednesday sit empty and unpaid.
Day labor runs on weekdays more than weekends. Moves, deliveries, site work, and cleanups all happen Monday to Friday, which makes an off day mid week worth more here than it is anywhere else.
Set your workdays to your real ones
Your profile carries the days you can work, and employers see them before they message you. Put in Tuesday and Wednesday and you get offered Tuesday and Wednesday work.
If your schedule rotates, update it when the roster changes. Two minutes a month keeps the offers useful instead of annoying.
Take jobs that end, not jobs that drift
On a shift schedule the thing that matters most is knowing when you are done, because sleep is the budget you are actually spending.
Ask the finish time before accepting, and take the defined jobs: an unload, a move, a setup, a cleanup. Ask what happens if it runs long, and say plainly when you have to leave.
Protect the sleep
The mistake people make is taking a 7 am job after a shift that ended at 6 am. It pays once and it costs you the week.
Work the day after your last night, not the morning after. Anybody who has run a rotating schedule for a year will tell you the same thing.
Say the constraint in your message
One line settles it: "I work nights Thursday to Sunday, so I am free Monday through Wednesday and I can be on site at 7."
Employers do not care what your other job is. They care whether you will be there at the time they said.
One mid week regular beats a job board
Contractors and property managers usually have midweek work every week, and they would rather have the same person than post it each time.
Do two good Tuesdays for somebody and ask whether they need help most weeks. That is how an odd schedule turns into steady extra income.
